Ace's Birthday Party

Nora's first boyfriend, Ace, from her Prince of Peace days turned 2 on Saturday.  His mom and dad threw an old school McDonald's birthday party and all of the kids had a blast!  Remember what a big deal it was to have a birthday party at Mickey D's back in the day?!?  I never had one there, but sure thought it was super cool if my friend's did!  Thanks to Drew's mom for the pictures!

A Fun Weekend

Although our family is trying to recover from our fun colds, we still managed to have some fun this weekend. As usual, Nora and I had a great time at our Friday play group. Lori is the best hostess! Emily actually took some pictures this time, so I have to post them. Isn't that little Tuck-man the cutest little thing?!? Aww ... baby love!

We had a fun, but crazy time with our Prince of Peace playgroup on Saturday afternoon at The Chuck. It was crowded and crazy, but Nora had a fun time. And yes, I can still beat Mark at Skeet ball.

We even have a video thanks to Jordan's dad! Thanks, Mark!

Third Attempt - September POP Play Group

Two Sundays ago we met a bunch of Nora's friends from school at our monthly outing. For September, we headed back to our favorite park in Plano and had a great time! Nora was very into the playground this time and took off like a wild woman. We had a hard time keeping up with her! She loves to go down slides ... sometimes head first, before Mommy or Daddy are there to catch her! Thank goodness for other nice mommies that like to play catch! We had a run time catching up with everyone and can't wait until our Pumpkin Patch outing in October!

School Pics

Miss Rita, Nora's toddler class teacher at Prince of Peace sent me these cute pictures of our girl this morning. Looks like she is having a great time at school!

Nora is her "I'm All Love" onesie and denim mini-skirt. How cute!

Homecoming Week

This past week was homecoming week at Nora's school, Prince of Peace. It was so much fun that they included the ELC in the festivities. Everyday the kiddos got to dress up in their spirit clothes or fun things like mis-match day. Nora was definitely making a style statement on Wednesday with her mis-matched outfit and different shoes! Pretty funny! On Friday, POP had their Homecoming Pep Rally in the afternoon. Of course I had to go and take some pictures. It was so cute, but Nora got really upset when she saw me because she only wanted Mama and then didn't want to participate. So sad! I got some fun pictures anyway, just be sure to note the trauma on Nora's face...

Preparing for the pep rally! I love that Jordan is looking at Nora like, "What's wrong with you?"

Yeah! Having fun at the pep rally holding a heart decoration.

Note the pacie (had to have it to keep her calm ... crazy, but true!)

Fun times! We love POP!

Nora got promoted! She's an official toddler now!

Nora officially moved into the Toddler Class at Prince of Peace this morning. It's hard to believe that our baby girl is such a big girl! When Mark and I dropped her off this morning, you would have thought that we'd been taking her there all along. She wasn't phased at all! She headed off to play with her pals from the Infant Class that had already made it up to the big room.

She is just across the hall from the Infant Class, so that makes me happy. We loved all of her wonderful teachers in there and want to stay in close with them. They just love our girl and make great babysitters!

We were worried a little bit about how she would adjust (no crib, no highchair, bottles, etc.), but she was a trooper according to her teachers. She ate all of her snacks and lunch at the table with the other kiddos. Miss Ashley said that she ate everything really well. Imagine that! It takes some work to keep those thighs looking the way that they do! Baby Love! She also took a 2 hour nap on her new nap mat. I can't believe it! They even said that she went down really easily - apparently its pretty exhausting being a bid kid!

What's not to love in this fun room?

The Bye, Bye Buggy

One of Nora's favorite things to do at school is to take spins outside on the Bye Bye Buggy. I think that these massive buggies are hysterical, but so cute. Check out these pictures that some of the other Mom's sent me of the baby girl with her pals at school.

Prince of Peace Play Date

Yesterday Nora and I had a fun play date with a couple of the other babies and mommies from the Prince of Peace Infant program. We met at the pond by our house and had a picnic. It was lots of fun watching the babies, sharing trips and getting to know each other. We hope to get together once a month. I am really looking forward to it! I think Nora is too! She loved being outside. Plus, she came back home and took a really good nap. Always a good thing!

One of the moms, Debbie, sent me these pictures of the kiddos (minus Jordan, who had headed home for a nap).

Just another reason to love Prince of Peace!

So, Nora's ear infection has turned into a double ear infection. Poor baby! It has made for some eventful evenings ... or should I say, early mornings? I took her back to the doctor yesterday afternoon and she ended up getting two antibiotic shots and has to go back today for two more. Thank goodness Mark is taking Nora today since I had to hold her down yesterday. That is the absolute worst thing that you have to do as a parent! Plus, we were minus a paci. Not good...

Needless to say, Nora is home from school - this time hanging out with Grammy and Buddy who arrived from Chattanooga yesterday. Yippee!!! Perfect timing for helping us out and getting to love and snuggle with that baby girl.

OK, OK, onto the point of my blog - so, not only did Nora's teacher call the house to check on Nora, but she also sent me an email. How sweet is that? We just love Nora's school and everyone there. What a blessing for our family!

Fun at School!

So, I am sitting at my desk, after being in meetings all morning (UGH!) and all of a sudden an email from Nora's teacher, Miss Darla, appears - with an attachment. Let me just ask you, how cute is this?
