Nora's Last Day of School

Today was Nora's last day of school for the year.  So sad to leave for the summer, but she (and we!)  had such a great experience!  We love, love that she goes to this amazing school at our church.  Her teacher, Miss Shari, is so sweet and has such a tender, Christ-centered heart.  We could not have asked for anyone better!  We are very excited that she is going to give Nora swimming lessons on Fridays this summer.  Yeah for Miss Shari!

Here are a couple of pictures from her party today.  Nora, Miles, Beck, Megan and Emma were all precious and had lots of fun eating their yogurt bar, having a marsh mellow race, doing a fun craft and heading outside for lot of playtime.  Thank goodness all of that crazy, rainy weather went away.  Our song must be working!  I've been teaching Nora the little song - Rain, Rain, Go Away, Come Again, Some Other Day!  We've been singing it a lot lately!

Nora's Third Pinkalicious Birthday Party!

We celebrated Nora's third "Pinkalicious" birthday party last Saturday.  What a fun, pink party!  We based everything off of one of our favorite books and continued the pink theme throughout the decor and food, of course!  Let me tell you, it is quite a challenge to find pink food (other than sweets) that is pink.  We decided that red grapes could count as pink ... Had to have something healthy!

Nora had mostly her little girl friends, but of course we had to include her two best boy buddies - Cole and Tucker!  Hopefully all of the girls and their squeals will prepare them for Baby Shelby who is about to arrive.

Thanks to Gayla for her help in getting everything ready and helping to clean up!

We sure did miss having Grammy and Grandma here to celebrate with us, but they sent very fun presents.  Imagine that!!!

Happy 3rd birthday to our sweet, angel baby!  We love you Nora!

xoxo,
Mommy & Daddy

Here was the final menu:
Pink Lemonade
Pink Strawberry Yogurt Bar with Toppings (including pink sprinkles, of course)
Mini Bagels with Pink Strawberry Cream Cheese
Peanut Butter and Pink (Strawberry) Sandwiches in the shapes of crowns and cupcakes
Strawberries
Red Grapes
Strawberry Wafers (what a flashback from childhood!)
Pink Iced Animal Crackers
Pink & White Cupcakes (let me just say, yum for Society Bakery Cupcakes!)

Disney World: Day 5, Hollywood Studios

On day five, we went to Hollywood Studios and had another great time!

Here's what we did:
Toy Story Midway Mania - Super fun ride for adults and kids in 3D.  A definite must!  Go there first to avoid the long lines.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid - Fun, but a little wet.  It gets dark in there.  Nora was a little scared, but made it through.
Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage - So precious!  Nora is a big fan of The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so it was a huge hit with her!  Oh Toodles!
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular - Maxwell loved this - definitely better for 5+, but fun for adults to watch!
Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage - Mom and I took the kids to watch this while Mark, Jeff and Jennifer headed to the Tower of Terror.  They got on it quickly and joined us for the show.  Precious!

The best part ... ending out day there watching another fabulous parade!

Got home and headed to the pool to wear the kids out.  I think it worked...

Disney World: Day 4, Magic Kingdom

On day four, we headed back to the Magic Kingdom.  Our goal was to hit Frontierland for the day.  We've decided it is easiest to break the park down by sections to make it magageable.  We hit the Swiss Family Robinson house, Tom Sawyer Island, the Magic Carpet ride, (Pirates of the Caribbean was closed! - ugh!), and the Country Bear Jamboree (which needs to be updated - a.k.a. Skip this ride!).  We did have lots of fun dancing with the bears in front before the show.  We then went to the Hall of Presidents - which is very cool and always good to visit.

We then headed back to Fantasyland to hit the Teacups (Momma's favorite from her childhood Disneyland days) and then headed to the racecars.  We ended up back on Main Street and hit the parade on our way out of the park.  What a fun, fun day!  We love the Magic Kingdom!

Disney World: Day 3 - The Day of Rest

On our third day, we decided to stay at the condo and rest.  It worked out great!  The kids got decent naps and we had lots of time to swim.  It was good to have a break, but we were more than ready to get back to Disney on Tuesday!

Disney World - Day 2: Magic Kingdom

Our second day at Disney, we headed for the Magic Kingdom to celebrate Nora's third birthday at the Princess Breakfast (see previous post).  After breakfast, we headed to Fantasyland to go on some of the rides.  We rode Dumbo, It's a Small World, and the Carousel - obviously a toddler-centered day.  We also saw a show at the front of the castle before we left.  We came home so that the kids could take naps, ate dinner, celebrated Nora's birthday, then headed back for the Electric Parade and fireworks.  We had lots of fun, but were all exhausted by the end of the day.  Needless to say, Nora had a fabulous third birthday celebration!

More Disney! First Day - Animal Kingdom

I am totally out of order on my posts, but who cares!  Here are some pictures from Saturday, our first day at Disney.  We hit Animal Kingdom and had a great time!  We all loved the Safari and got to see lots of characters.  Too fun!  Pluto was the first character that we met and hence, he is now Nora's new favorite!  Very cute.  Nora is now a proud owner of a big Pluto stuffed animal (Daisy was pushed into second place).
