Will's 4th Birthday Party

Our cousin Will turned 4 about a week after Nora's birthday.  We had a great time at his party!  Here are some fun pictures from the Super Hero event!  Thanks Mom for making all of the cousins capes!  Too fun!

Mom's Birthday

My mom came to visit right after her birthday and stayed with us through Mother's Day.  What a great treat!  On her first night in town we had a little birthday dinner celebration with the Ogle clan.  There was cake and ice cream everywhere ... a sure sign of a good birthday!  Happy Birthday, Mom!  We love you!

Christmas Parade

Another late post! We had a great time at the Christmas Parade in downtown Dallas. Mark and I went last year and had a great time. This time, we took Miss New. She was a bit of a pill, but we still had a great time, inspite of the cold! Thanks Lisa for organizing and Co-Captain Riss and Cole for going with us. Too fun!

Halloween & Mom's Visit

We finished off the month of October just like we began it - very busy! Mom flew in town with Ginger to see their Dallas grandkiddos the Wednesday before Halloween. It seems like they both had a great time - we hope so! Mom and I had a great time running all over town shopping and have lunch out. What fun treats - thanks Mom! How wonderful to be spoiled for a week! We also got in lots of holiday baking and cooking stuff to stick in the freezer. How great is that?!?

Moving onto the great orange holiday - Nora celebrated Orange Day at school. They had orange treats all day and Nora wore her cutie pie pumpkin shirt that Grandma embroidered for her. Very cute, as always!

On Friday night, we headed for a fun Halloween themed evening at Lori and Cam's house. We had a great time and so did Mom. She just loved how all of the daddy's were very hands on and that everyone had such a great time together, in the midst of the chaos! Nora debuted her first bee costume - thanks Lori for letting us borrow it!

On Saturday, we went to the Dallas Arboretum for a fun outing. We started a tradition of going during the Halloween season last year and wanted to be sure to continue our new family tradition! We had a great time. The weather could not have been more perfect! We then headed for burgers at Who's Who in Highland Park Village. Can I just say - Yum! We love that place, but just don't go there often enough...

Halloween night was topped off with a party at Bill and Lisa's house. It was fun, as always! Everyone had dinner and then headed out for Trick or Treating. Nora was super cute! She caught on really quickly! Nora sported her second bee costume of the season. Lisa was so sweet to get her a costume to match the twins. So, Nora, Izzy and Sloane were bees, Will was the bee keeper and Lisa was the queen bee. How great is that?!?

Hope your holiday was wonderful as well!

P.S. Thanks Grammy and Buddy for Nora's previous Halloween gifts. She is completely obsessed with that precious bag and is currently using it as yet another purse! She loved all of her other Halloween goodies as well. Thanks for spoiling our girl!

Second Attempt - Labor Day

We had a great time with the Ogle clan over Labor Day weekend at Possum Kingdom Lake. We just love it out there and had a great time as a family! Nora played and played with Will and the twins and might have even toughened up a bit! We all had a great time going out in the boat, swimming, getting some sun, eating and hanging out with the fam. Joe, Christy and Isabella also came down for one day, so it was fun playing with them too!

The craziest part of the weekend? Nora is just fearless around the water. She loved going out in the boat and then insisted upon being thrown into the water over and over again. She saw the twins eating this up and had to do it herself, of course. What fun!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Husband

Happy Birthday to my sweet husband! Nora and I just adore you and can't wait to celebrate your big day tonight! While I have a bit of time, I thought that I would list just a few reasons why I love, love my husband:
  • Mark is a great husband and puts up with me like no one else would do! (I am sure that he will nod his head while reading this one!)
  • Mark is the BEST father, not only to our baby girl, but to those big girls who he just loves and adores unconditionally.
  • Mark is completely genuine. One of the first things that I thought about him is still so true today.
  • Mark is a loyal and dependable friend - those are hard to come by...
  • Mark makes me laugh - especially with his smooth dance moves!
  • Mark is a good son (and son-in-law too according to my mom). He adores all of his family and wishes that we lived closer to everyone.
  • Mark is smart - especially with numbers - thank goodness!
  • Mark is a Christian man and our spiritual leader. I love his insight on different passages in the Bible and the way that he keeps us focused on where we need to be - depending entirely on God.
  • Mark has a beautiful voice. I'll never forgot how beautifully he sang at my daddy's memorial service. It still makes me cry to think about it.
I could go on and on, but he's a humble kind of guy and I want him to stay that way! :)

Here are a couple of pictures of Mark's birthday celebration from Sunday at the Ogle's house. Swimming, pizza and cake with our family - it doesn't get much better than that!

Nora and I are looking forward to more fun tonight! Happy Birthday Mark! We love you!
