Quick Trip to Louisiana

We took a quick trip to Louisiana a couple of weeks ago to attend a funeral for our friend's step-mother.  We decided to take Nora with us and to stay in a quaint little town, Natchitoches.  I've wanted to go there ever since I saw the movie, Steel Magnolias, forever ago.  It is just as precious as the movie promised it would be!  Sometime I want to go back with just Mark and have a fun weekend at a B&B.

Two's Spring Music Program

I just realized that I forgot to post pictures from the Spring Music Program that Nora had at her school in early March.  All the two-year-olds in the Monday/Wednesday group took part.  Mark and I loved taking it all in!  They were all just precious!

Miles, Nora, Megan, Emma and Beck

The whole crew with Miss Sheri
Snow is Falling Down - Nora is singing this to me as I type.  So cute!
I think that they all liked the songs with movement.  Imagine that!

Spring Break

Nora had Spring Break last week.  It seemed so funny for my two year-old to have a Spring Break...  We stayed in Dallas and kept busy with lots of friends.  Here's a rundown and some pictures from the week.

Monday - Flight Museum with Team Rissmiller
Tuesday - Studio Movie Grill with the Ogle Cousins (The Little Engine That Could - a bit scary, who knew!)
Wednesday - Pump It Up with Ogle Cousins
Thursday - Play Date with Elizabeth and Abbie
Friday - Run Errands with Momma
Saturday - Time with Daddy and Daddy only!  This would include going to the golf store (finding her pink putter) and retrieving balls for Daddy, going by the pet store (even though she is still to death of animals), getting some lunch (how are they already so brand specific? my child is a marketer's dream!  Can't imagine where she gets it from...), the park and who knows where else!  Too fun!

Grammy's January Visit

Better late than never, right?!?

Mark's mom, Grammy or Gam (as Nora now calls her), came home with us from our Christmas visit in Chattanooga.  We had a great time while she was in Dallas with the Girl Newman Family.  She had so much fun with Nora and Nora had so much fun with Gam!  They played and colored and had lots of fun!

Grammy was a huge, huge help to me and Mark.  We were completely spoiled while she was here.  I don't think that I cleaned a dish for 3 weeks!  Plus, Mark and I had the chance to sneak away for some non-parenting time.  Yippee for that!  She also worked on all kinds of scrapbook pages and made our books look so much cuter!
Thanks Grammy for all that you do and all of the ways that you love our family.  We love, love you!

First Haircut

Is it pretty crazy that Nora didn't have her first haircut until she was two and a half?!?  Mark and I took her to Sweet & Sassy to get her haircut a few weeks ago (February 12).

Nora was excited and so brave.  She just sat quietly (and very seriously) in the chair while she got a little trim.  So cute!  The hairstylist couldn't believe how great she behaved.  Must be from all of those times she has gone with Mark to watch him get his haircut.  Afterward she got glitter in her hair (definitely a Nora, not a Momma choice) and two hearts of her cheek.  She looked precious (we always think that though)!

Playing with Jordan

Nora and I picked Jordan up from school on Monday night while Mark and Gayla were flying back from their trip. What fun those girls had being silly and playing together! We had dinner, a bubble bath and then they ran around in their matching PJ's and had to get their picture taken. They look so big that it is killing me! Where did my little baby go?
