Just call me Martha!

As my friends know, I refer to my mom as the "Original Martha." This is because my mother can create anything! I've had a few Martha-esque moments in the past few months, so I just had to share them...

In keeping with the theme of my previous bow post, I have to admit that I went to a bow-making party a few months ago. Thanks Mere! I had a fun time making some cute bows, however, Nora's going to have to grow a lot more hair before she'll be sporting these! Check back in about 2 years and you might just see a picture of Nora and one of these bows!

I've been wanting a cookie jar for our kitchen for the longest time. I love that the "Original Martha" always had one filled with homemade cookies when we were growing up, so that is a tradition I want to continue in our home. So, I went to a paint your own pottery place with some friends. Crazy me took on my cookie jar project! I was in a little over my head, so thank goodness the girls jumped in to help. I think the team effort paid off! Now about those homemade cookies …

In my latest Martha moment, I decided that I could make this really cute kissing ball for Nora's room. I saw one in the Pottery Barn Kids catalog, but decided that I could make one that would be cute and a little more reasonable. It may not be the same as the PBK one, but I still think that it turned out super cute!
