Nora had a great time today at Jordan's Third Birthday Party at ASI Gymnastics.  It was so great to catch up with some of our old Prince of Peace pals.  I can't believe how big they are all getting to be!  Happy Birthday JoJo!  We love you!

Happy Father's Day to the best dad that I know!  Mark, I hope that you truly know how much Nora and I just adore you.  I am so glad that we have a special day to celebrate you!  You have taught me so much since we have been married and especially since Miss New came into this world.  Here are just a few of my favorite things about you ...

You are such a kind soul, filled with grace and mercy for others
You are a completely hands-on Dad
You are 100% there for all of your daughters
You are funny and can make me laugh even when I want to cry
You love, love being silly with Nora
You know the Bible and apply it to your life (our lives)

I could go on and on, but one of the things that I like most about you is the fact that you're modest!  Guess we'll keep it that way!  :)

Honoring our fathers...
Father's Day is also a hard holiday for us.  This will be our first Father's Day without Buddy.  I know that it still seems surreal to Mark that he is gone...  We both miss our fathers tremendously but are so grateful for the amazing impact that they had on our lives.

Memorial Day

We had a great time at PK for the long Memorial Day weekend!  We went with the Ogle cousins and Teffy.  What a fun time - on the boat, having free time while the kids were napping, a fun dinner out and lots of laughter.  Thanks Bill and Lisa for a great weekend!

Three Year Stats

I took Nora to see Dr. B for her three year-old check up last Friday.  She is doing great and he always makes me feel like we are doing a good job raising her.  Glad he saw us on a good day!  :)  Three year-olds can be a bit of a challenge at times ... imagine that!  We love Dr. B!

Mark and I see so many changes in her.  She is such a big girl!  It makes me sad sometimes ... thank goodness she is very sweet and loving!  Thought I would make a note of some of the funny/sweet things that she says/does:

• Hugs our necks tight at night and says "I love my whole family!"
• Watches sports with Mark and gets into the games - Go Mavs!  She loves Dirk!
• Knows all of the college teams of our friends and does the symbols or sayings for each (her current favorite is Miss Em's Gig 'Em!)
• Loves to run, ride her bike, ride in her wagon and can't wait to try out her scooter (waiting on a missing part).  "Momma, you check on that?"
• Has funny names for people - She calls the boy Newman cousins, the Old Cousins
• When you ask her, where did you come from?  She always answers, "Outside!"  Hysterical!
• Loves to sing and knows the words to so many songs.  Most favorite song request before going to sleep each night, "Jesus Loves Me, This I Know" (she thinks that is the title - so cute!)
• Loves to run through the house naked and knows that it is funny!
• She really loves her friends and is very sweet and affectionate with them.
• She is currently obsessed with giving Momma and Dada hugs and kisses throughout the day.  Wish this one would never stop!
• She uses the wrong tenses and pro-nouns, but it's so cute that we don't correct her ... That might be an issue down the road!
• Although Chick-Fil-A is her favorite, she sometimes likes to go with Daddy to "Old McDonalds!"

I love it that everyone seems to think that Nora is a sweet child.  We agree!  She is sweet and stubborn and funny!  We just adore her and can't wait to have our next adventures together!

Nora's Easter Party at School - April 20, 2011

Beck's mom and I were in charge of the Easter party for Miss Shari's class this year.  We had fun creating all kinds of fun crafts and having an Easter Egg hunt!  Here's a cute picture of the class with Miss Shari.  How precious are these babies?

Rain, Rain Go Away! - May 11, 2011

I am stealing this from the Team's blog, since I didn't have these pictures!  Thanks to Em for taking such great care of our little girl.  We love the Team!

"Rain Rain Go Away. Come Again Another Day." I have always liked this little chant and it seems like my sons and their best buddy Nora do as well. While they were constantly saying this like a mantra, the rain fell and they were overjoyed at being able to frolic in the heavy rains. Our new favorite game is leaf races. Of course, you have to have water in the street for that so they don't understand why we can't have them during the beautiful, sunny days that have been surrounding us.
